News from India

We have arrived safely in Chennai, and so far have explored a great deal of the city. It has been rather hard work (to put it politely); culture shock percentage, 95%. Streets are dirty, and noise extreme. We arrived at the airport and had to wait 50 mins in a non-moving queue and then had an Adventure World ride to our rather shithouse accomodation. Various animals made noises outside. In the morning we got up and walked into the city. Noodley streets. Were asked to buy and/or ride in everything. A man walked past leading a calf.

Have found some moderately better accomodation. Are looking forwards to vacating it. Gin was on special in Singapore. We paid more for the tonic here.

Had a good lunch though (will revise it four hours), and have found somewhere for dinner at our hotel.
